Joburg Water needs to fix its mess

External communication officer, Joburg Water, Eleanor Mavimbela was contacted by the COURIER about this issue, she has not responded.

KANITA Hackenburg, from Woodgreen Street, Crown Gardens, is very frustrated with Joburg Water for leaving her pavement in a mess when they fixed a water leak, last year.

She said she reported the leak in light of the water restrictions and was pleased that Joburg Water came out to fix it. However, they left a big hole on the pavement in front of her yard after the job was done.

“Joburg Water said they needed to come back and finish the job as they did not have a specific part. As time went by, I made numerous calls to them as no one had returned to finish the job and close the hole. I eventually gave up as I was told Joburg Water will give me a call. It has been a year now and nothing has been done,” said Hackenburg.
