STEP into a festive season wonderland at the spellbinding Garden of Lights, located in the perfectly manicured gardens at Emperors Palace, in Kempton Park, until January 8.
This magical event features dazzling lights and colourful characters that have delighted over 900 000 visitors and promise to welcome countless more.
Entry into the garden is R25 per person; booking is essential and can be made through Webtickets on www.webtickets.co.za, or by visiting your nearest Pick n Pay Money Counter. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Cancer Association of South Africa, and the Peermont Children’s and Education Trusts that benefit various community development programmes.
“Many of our families have been affected by the horrible scourge of cancer and have lost loved ones to this disease, and many South Africans are unable to afford education for their children,” says Mark Jakins, Peermont marketing and regional operations executive.
“This is our way of ensuring that a beautiful experience such as the Garden of Lights can work for a brighter future for many. We are proud of our association with the Cancer Association of South Africa and Peermont Trusts for children’s education and upliftment. The lights spectacle make for a perfect night out for individuals and families, and younger visitors will be particularly pleased with the variety of exciting funfair rides.
As a keepsake, children can also have a photograph taken with Santa Claus, at Santa’s Grotto, in the Entertainment Emporium outside Nu Metro, on selected days.
The gates to the spectacular event are open from 19:00 to 22:00 daily, weather permitting. In the event of overcast and rainy weather, ticket holders will be contacted via SMS about moving their bookings to a different date.
