The Bag Lady

This week I popped into a gorgeous coffee shop in Brackenhurst and have made a start on my Christmas shopping.

Six weeks to Christmas ……. and counting! I’ve bought a few more presents and I’m really looking out for reasonably priced gifts. From next week I’ll be focusing on everything related to Christmas, so keep a look out for gift ideas, recipes and the Christmas dinner countdown.

A coffee experience

New in Brackenhurst at Bracken City, you just have to pop into Coffee Bean and GO, owned by Tanya Byrne. The concept is simple, a coffee express where you won’t have to wait long to get your daily fix in an ultramodern and tastefully decorated coffee shop. Come and enjoy Illy coffees, speciality teas, chillas and also divine freshly baked muffins and croissants (baked on the premises) or chocolate brownies and muesli bars, either to takeaway or to have in the shop. As well as enjoying a “cup” you can purchase coffee beans, roasted ground coffee and Illy nine origins beans. I was blown away by the illy coffee machines, which are stylish and will make a perfect kitchen accessory. Now here’s an ideal Christmas gift for the man or woman in your life who loves excellent coffee! You can also buy the Hypo capsules for the coffee machines. Open Monday to Friday 06:30 to 18:00, Saturday 07:00 to 15:00 and Sunday 07:30 to 13:00. I can promise you, you won’t be disappointed.  Phone 082 456 8637 or 011 867 0943 or visit their website: www.coffeebeanandgo.co.za  or facebook coffeebeanandgo

Bouquets of the week

“I held my 60th Birthday party at the Kraal restaurant Thaba Eco Hotel recently and would like to thank Kim for her assistance in helping me arrange the function. From the very first contact I had with Kim she was always highly professional, pleasant and willing to help and guide me. The venue, seating arrangement and service was fantastic.  Kim to you and your staff, thank you. I will be happy to recommend The Kraal to all I know, and will always hold you in high regard as a fantastic events’ organiser and great Lady!” said Elaine Le Roux.

*Hendrik Schutte, from Mulbarton gives a bouquet to the friendly efficient people at “HI-Q” Tyre Centre at Comaro Crossing. “Charging less than half the price to fix a simple puncture compared to another tyre centre, and on top of that they were prepared to help me by rotating the wheels on the car for me at no further charge. Thank you Hi-Q. This is where I will suggest friends and family go!”

*Elizabeth King gives a big bouquet to Trechelle Naidoo, a sales Rep at HiFi Corp The Glen. “When I entered the store she came to assist me and when I mentioned that I was not feeling well ran to get me a chair and then dashed around and came back in minutes with a bottle of spring water.  She brought me the article I wanted to purchase and took my money to the till to pay. She would not accept payment for the bottle of water she had bought me. Wonderful people like her need to be complimented!”

That’s it for this week, Shop till you drop.
