Elderly man killed in Kibler Park house robbery

It is not clear what could have killed the 81-year-old man.

An 81-year-old man suffocated to death during a house robbery today in Kibler Park.

It is alleged that the robbers tied up the people in the house during the robbery. It is reported the man was tied around the neck.

 

Wayne Lamprecht (51), who is the witness, was driving up Peggy Vera from the shops and heard people opposite the house scream for him to stop and help.

He jumped the fence to find the domestic worker tied and untied her. She told him there were other people in the house. He walked around and found the elderly woman tied with a cloth on her neck, as if it was used to squeeze and suffocate her.

When he got to another room he found the elderly man, tried CPR but he he died. It is not clear what could have killed him.

 

The suspects fled the scene on foot.

Police are on the scene.
