Celebrate Heritage Day at local museum

Join James Hall Museum of Transport to to Celebrate heritage Day.

RESIDENTS are invited to join the celebration of Heritage Day on Sunday, September 25, at the James Hall Museum of Transport at the Pioneer Park, La Rochelle.

Interested parties will get a chance to view all the large and unique collection of land transport vehicles from 10:00 in the morning until 15:00 in the afternoon.

The crowd will be allowed to test their driving skills for R5 and take rides for R15, complemented by lots of great food and great company.

The James Hall Museum of Transport in Johannesburg is the largest and most comprehensive museum of land transport in South Africa. It was established by the late Jimmie Hall together with the City of Johannesburg in February 1964.

The museum gives visitors a rare glimpse into Johannesburg’s transport history, dating back more than a century. The museum is the most comprehensive land transport museum in South Africa, with thematic displays and exhibits in the various exhibition halls.
