Youth to be empowered

This Expo aims to empower youth to acquire much needed knowledge and skills to achieving a decent standard of living.

JOBURG South career and skills development expo will be held on Wednesday, September 28, from 09:00 to 13:00 at Die Fakkel High School’s sports ground, Forest Hill.

Believers Care Society Youth Development Centre in partnership with the Gauteng Province Department of Social Development Sustainable Livelihood and Poverty Alleviation unit will be at the forefront of this expo.

Today’s youth is faced with enormous challenges, ranging from unemployment, poverty, lack of skills and many other challenges that would collectively amount to social inequality in our communities. Youth unemployment levels continue to rise such that the majority of these young people are becoming discouraged due to lack of opportunities.

This expo aims to empower youth to acquire much-needed knowledge and skills in order to achieve a decent standard of living. They will also gain insight and career advice from leading field specialists to better understand the expectations and roles of their potential professions.
