Early Christmas for children’s home

“This has really been a team effort but I would like to especially thank Faye Delport and Nadene Fulton from our salon, who went out and did all the shopping from money donated and gift wrapped all the gifts. You two rock, and to all our clients who have given so generously, a huge thanks,” added Tracey.

MULBARTON: Early Christmas gifts in August were the order of the day on Tuesday, August 23, when staff from Hair on Hythe, The Broads, Mulbarton, visited St Mary’s Children’s Home with gifts for all the children.

“Every year we hold a charity drive, Christmas in July, and this year we collected shoeboxes for teenage girls and boys. Our clients and friends have been marvellous and have given shoeboxes filled with goodies or they have donated money so we could buy products for the boxes. Both boxes contain a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, a treat (chocolate, etc), and for the girls’ boxes sanitary towels and for the boys, a razor. So the younger children wouldn’t miss out, they also received a gift, which kind clients donated,” said Tracey Sham, owner of Hair on Hythe.

“This has really been a team effort but I would like to especially thank Faye Delport and Nadene Fulton from our salon, who went out and did all the shopping from money donated and gift-wrapped all the gifts. You two rock, and to all our clients who have given so generously, a huge thanks,” added Tracey.

After the handing out of the gifts, the children sang their special thank you song and the Hair on Hythe staff were shown around the home. “This is our first time here and it won’t be our last,” they said.
