Blanket drive

The cold weather is upon us and the Rotary Club of Johannesburg South 101’s annual Blanket Drive is taking place again this year.

They have obtained a very favourable deal from Aranda Textiles in Randfontein, from which they obtain full size, good quality blankets at around R75 each, which often retail at nearly double that value.

They distribute to the poor and needy (although not street beggars) both locally and in the rural areas. Last year they even distributed three normal bales of blankets to families in the cold mountainous areas in the Lesotho highlands.

A contribution of R75 for a blanket or more would be extremely helpful to this worthy cause. In actual fact, any contribution will, of course, be welcome

Should you feel very generous, you could consider a mini bale of five blankets for R370.

If you would like to give to this needy blanket drive you can make payment to The Rotary Club of Johannesburg South 101; Bank: ABSA; Sort: 632005; Type: Current – cheque; Number: 1007040292.

We look forward to your support urgently, as the cold has caught up with us already and the blankets will be really appreciated by the many deserving recipients.
