Title comes home to South

The winner of the competition, Leila Momberg, is from Figures Models Glenvista, who received an all-expenses paid trip to New York to compete at the International Model and Talent convention (IMTA) this July.

ON Saturday June 4, Figures Models South Africa held its annual International Model of the Year Competition.

The winner of the competition, Leila Momberg, is from Figures Models Glenvista, who received an all-expenses paid trip to New York to compete at the International Model and Talent convention (IMTA) this July.

She competed against 130 contestants from all the Figures branches nationwide and came out on top to receive the title of the International Model of the Year 2016 for Figures Models South Africa.

Leila now jets off to New York in July in the hopes of being scouted by an international model agent.

Leila will be joined by Tia Chetty, who was the second-place winner and Jasmine Badenhorst who is also a Figures Models Glenvista student. Jasmine has been sponsored by Rex Diff and Gearbox to attend the IMTA convention. This is a huge opportunity for both models, who have a world of potential in the modelling industry.

Figures Models Glenvista did exceptionally well at the finals, taking first and second place and also had four top scores and four honourable mentions amongst the 130 contestants.

Apart from the International Model of the Year, Figures Models South Africa also held the Intern of the Year competition.

Chenique Morgan from Figures Models Glenvista placed second overall in the intern category.

Figures Glenvista owner Natacha Thompson would like to congratulate Leila, Tia, Jasmin and all her finalists for their amazing achievements.

Natacha would also like to thank Rick Rex from Rex Diff and Gearbox for his amazing contribution and sponsorship towards Jasmin Badenhorst and making her dreams come true to be able to stand on the international modelling stage.
