Christian school welcomes learners from Sweden

CALVARY Christian College would like to extend a warm welcome to Hanna Klaesson Hjelt, a 16-year- old girl from Stockholm, Sweden.

Hanna was selected as an exchange student through AFS (American Field Service), a volunteer-based cultural exchange organisation.

Hanna is very familiar with the AFS programme, as her father, brother and sister have been part of the programme before. Hanna’s personal goal for this adventure is to get a life experience, learn a new culture, meet new people, make new friends and adapt to a new family with a different perspective on things.

Coming from Sweden, Hanna is aware that she faces many different challenges and knows she must be prepared to develop new and other sides of herself.

While in South Africa, Hanna is residing with the Moloi family in Lenasia. Calvary Christian College would like to wish Hanna everything of the very best for the year ahead in Grade 11.
