Let me share with you three proven steps to change your life.

1. Believe you can do it – This is achieved by developing a winner’s mind-set. A winner’s mind-set says: I was born to do this; I will never settle for the crumbs of life; If I could succeed then, nothing can stop me from succeeding again now and in the future (yes, you will fail along the way but winners win in their failure). These are positive affirmations you have to make every day as many times as possible to develop a new positive mind-set.

2. Work on your skill-set – Identify what skills are required to achieve that dream you have set for yourself. According to Malcolm Gladwell, its takes a minimum of 10 000 hours to be an expert in your field, some may argue with this but, it has worked for me. Whatever you focus on the longest becomes your strongest. Be deliberate and committed to your actions.

3. Develop strong friendships – You need to know and accept that life is like an elevator: on your way up, sometimes, you have to stop and let some people off. Yes, some people are good for where you are but not so good for where you are going, just marinade with that, it’s a fact. Let go of those toxic friends around you, they will drain you and never reach your destination. Someone once said, “Friends are God’s way of apologizing to us for our families, so, pick them well!” That made so much sense to me. Don’t just keep friends for sentimental reasons, they will cost you dearly!

Following these three proven steps, will immediately change your life and bring in joy and happiness.
