Chanclaire rakes in awards

Like other teens, she loves cellphone chatting, watching movies, and playing with her dolls.

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Haddon’s 11-year-old model, Chanclaire Koen, continues to represent the South and scoop awards as a young modelling show participant and beautiful model.

Chanclaire started modelling in 2013 and made her debut in the invitation only, National Model of the Year 2013 competition. Since entering the modelling world, Chanclaire has participated in about 12 modelling shows of which she has won seven crowns, received eight medals and earned 10 certificates. She recently added another trophy to her trophy display cupboard when she scooped first place for best dressed at a Winter Warmer show.

“Like most teens, she loves doing normal stuff other teen girls do with the exception of her modelling. But when she gets onto that stage she starts walking as if she has been transformed into the person she was always meant to be and hopes to become one day. Chanclaire walks with so much confidence that it’s hard to believe that it’s the same 11-year-old-girl when she’s relaxing at home. Her dream is to star in an advert or movies as well as local TV series,” said proud mother Cindy Koen.

“As Chanclaire’s parents, we could not have been happier and more satisfied with her performance in modelling and at school. Chanclaire has been chosen to be a library monitor at the Voorbrand Primary School where she completes her duties with so much honour and respect. Her report cards are also excellent so she does not lack in anything she does.”
