A WELL-KNOWN and respected figure in the South has been arrested by Mondeor SAPS, on June 19, for allegedly beating up three men at Vorster Park, in Glenanda, on April 30.
The three alleged victims from Glenanda, said they were sitting in the park, having a conversation, as they always did in the afternoons, when they were ambushed by a group of about 10 men.
“I’ve never been beat up like that, I was told I was a k*****,” said one of the victims who cannot be named. According to the alleged victims, they were kicked in the ribs, stomped on their heads and verbally abused by the men, who claimed they were bringing order to the community.
The suspect who has been arrested cannot be named until he has appeared in court.
