The suspect is a coloured man who is still believed to be in the South Hills veld.

The police are still searching for this man. Anyone who sees him or a suspicious man should not approach him but contact the authorities.

  1. What a terrible story! What is of great concern is the poor grammar that these journalists used and that the Editor did not even pick up! A 41 year old man died after him ….? Surely it is he? Let versus led?

  2. I agree with Brian. My major concern is how will anyone be able to look out for this individual if the only description is that the suspect is a coloured male? Really, surely we can do better than that?

  3. It is really frightening that no proper description is given of the individual so that we can be on the look out for him.

  4. Could we have an identikit printed from the police as we are living in this area -because what does a suspicious looking man look like ?

  5. If the police say the suspect is still in the veld why did”nt they go in and look for him do”nt they have dog unit to sniff him out , Oh i forgot our cops rather stop innocent people and get brides so why get dirty for one suspect .

  6. Very sad story indeed. “Suspicious coloured male “that could be our fathers, brothers, husbands, neighbor or co workers. Seriously clearly this person is dangours a better description or identict would assist to keep people safe.

  7. Heartbreaking story indeed and my heartfelt condolences to his family. In my opinion this is not a hi-jacking gone wrong. The story just doesn’t add up. I am absolutely baffled that in this day and age we still have good samaritans who pick up strangers and put them in their unless of course the person you pick up is known to you. This case must be referred to highly skilled investigating officers who are not corrupt and the circumstances which led to the callous and heinous murder of the deceased will be revealed. May his soul and the spirit of the living GOD help the authorities to apprehend the perpetrator/s.

  8. I saw a coloured male hitch hiking on South Rand Road on Saturday (20th September) morning, so do I phone the police for every coloured male hitch hiking? How do I possibly report this without more information? Is this just bad reporting seen as you can’t even get the grammar correct in the article?
