I have moved to Kenilworth three months ago. Within these three months, my car was stolen and this week I woke up to find my borrowed car on bricks.

I can’t believe how much crime is happening here. My neighbours also have sad stories of theft and car hijacking happened to them. To top it all, when we called the police on Tuesday (July 29), they came and wrote the statement. I then asked why they were not taking fingerprints. They just told me it’s not their protocol.

Criminals left so many fingerprints during the wheels theft, and I was shocked to learn that a Police Detective called eight hours later asking to come and take fingerprints. When my wife told him that we have now washed the car, he closed the case.

I am a family man, I worry for my kids. I just feel like I’m on my own in this country and maybe someone out there will help and that’s why I write this letter.
