New educational institute in the South

The school will follow the GDE curriculum, instilling a strong Islam moral foundation, helping the learners avoid the increasing drugs, alcohol and crime situation found in schools today. This will hopefully give them the tools to become successful contributors to the society and the economy.

RIDGEWAY – Ridgeway will soon have a new educational institution; The Ridgeway Muslim School is in its final stages of completion and will open its doors in 2015.

The new three-storey building situated on the corner Swartgoud Street and Riverside Drive has 23 classrooms, starting from nursery and grade R to grade 6 for 2015. Grade 7 will be accommodated in 2016, and they will expand a grade a year until they have a full Primary and Secondary School offering grade 12.

The school will follow the GDE curriculum, instilling a strong Islam moral foundation, helping the learners avoid the increasing drugs, alcohol and crime situation found in schools today. This will hopefully give them the tools to become successful contributors to the society and the economy.

The classrooms have been built to accommodate about 20 learners each, with school in the mornings and Islam studies taught separately in the afternoons. Small classes will be offered, individual care and attention from a dedicated team of qualified educators.

Founded to meet the needs of the local community, the school aims to provide quality education with an affordable fee.

The principal Mr Abdul Hak Kaka has 40 years academic experience, with over 17 years as a principal. He has an excellent record of maintaining a high standard of education (100 per cent pass rate) and instilling strict discipline in the school.
