The Glen Shopping Centre rides for Thusanani Childrens Foundation’s cause

The Glen Shopping Centre have nominated Thusanani Childrens Foundation as its Ride for a Purpose campaign at this year’s Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge on November 16.

SOUTH OF JOHANNESBURG – The ride for a purpose campaign provides cyclists and organisations with a platform to fundraise for  causes close to their hearts.

“This is the first year that The Glen Shopping Centre is riding for Thusanani’s cause. In 2013, Thusanani’s charity bond raised R150 000 and we’d like to double that this year,” says Jo Binks at Thusanani Children’s Foundation.

The Glen Shopping Centre supports the essential and unique services that Thusanani provides to vulnerable and marginalised children living in temporary safe care facilities across Gauteng. They have been supporting Thusanani since 2006. Their funding and support allows Thusanani to provide proficient developmental and medical assessments and reports to support the adoption process of orphans and vulnerable children.

“The Glen Shopping Centre is challenging all individuals and companies in the Southern Johannesburg area to ‘ride for Thusanani’s cause’ and join the centre in riding the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge for a purpose,” says Dean Mybugh from The Glen Shopping Centre.

For those wanting to ride for Thusanani’s charity bond and raise funds for the foundation can register and pay online at www.cyclechallenge.co.za. Riders that commit to raising funds for Thusanani will receive a favourable start time and a branded cycling jersey. Choose Thusanani Children’s Foundation as your charity at a cost of R350 per rider.
