South Hills rape and murder case postponed to September 19

The 39-year-old's case has experienced several postponements for different reasons.

LORENZO Bors, who stands accused of raping and murdering Slindokuhle Kunene (18), has witnessed his case being postponed to September 19, again.

He appeared again in the Booysens Magistrate’s Court on September 6.

The 39-year-old’s case has experienced several postponements for different reasons. On September 6 the case was postponed because the State is still waiting DNA results and photos.

After the State told the magistrate they are waiting for those two things, the defence attorney dropped a bombshell saying he’s withdrawing himself from the case.

He said the reason for his withdrawal is the fact that the family of Bors have not contacted him with further instructions as per their agreement.

Bors told the magistrate he will have to consult with his family to see if they can find a private attorney and, if not, they will require legal aid.
