A 16-year-old grade 8 learner was stabbed to death outside Forest High School, in Forest Hill on Monday, June 3.

According to The Gauteng Department of Education, it is alleged that a 20-year-old grade 11 male learner stabbed three fellow learners, a 16-year-old grade 8 learner (male) who sadly died on the scene, other two male learners, aged 16 were rushed to South Rand Hospital for medical attention after sustaining injuries.
Booysens Police Capt Lorraine van Emmerik confirmed the incident. “the pupil was fatally stabbed after leaving school after writing an exam at about 11 am,” she said.

The body of the 16-year-old boy was still on the scene with pathologists gathering evidence.

Examinations at the school have been temporarily suspended for about 48hours. The psychosocial support unit team will continue, to conduct necessary counselling.
