SOCIAL media users have been left in dismay following a video making rounds of unknown men committing an armed robbery at the Xavier off-ramp to the N12.
In the video, two men are seen preying on what is believed to be a white Toyota Fortuner. The unknown men, who can’t be identified from the video footage, are seen running off holding what is alleged to be stolen goods from the Fortuner.
The suspects are also seen running towards a silver vehicle, believed to be the getaway car. Other motorist just stood and watched as there was nothing they could do to assist the victim of the robbery.
According to social media users, the incident took place around 2 pm on May 13.
Booysens SAPS communications officer Lorraine van Emmerik told the COURIER nothing has been reported to them regarding the matter.
