Clean-up campaign yields positive results
This was part of A Re Sebetseng, a voluntary clean-up campaign launched by City of Johannesburg executive mayor councillor Herman Mashaba.
VOLUNTEERS in Ward 56 and Michael Crichton came together to clean Oak Avenue and Prairie Street on March 23.

Crichton said he was pleased to see volunteers heeding the mayor’s call.
“It is important for residents to take pride in the area they live in. We must all take a conscious decision to stop littering.
“With the city’s constrained budget everyone, including the public and the private sector, must take part in keeping our areas clean. Again, thank you to all the volunteers, including Anton Gilmore’s Walking Tall with Pride, National Security and Guardian Angels Security. I encourage more citizens to participate in these campaigns,” he said.
