Police need community’s help in tracing house robbers

At this stage, police have opened several house robbery/house break-in cases with no suspects arrested.

FOLLOWING a series of house robberies/house break-ins in Moffat View and the surrounding suburbs whereby suspects were allegedly driving a white Mercedes-Benz with unknown registration plates, police are appealing to the community to come forward with any information that can lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.

Preliminary police investigations have revealed the suspects (four African males) are allegedly driving a white Mercedes-Benz and one suspect would usually remain in the vehicle whenever they perpetrate these crimes.

At this stage, police have opened several house robbery/house break-in cases with no suspects arrested. Detective Warrant Officer Mdaka is the investigating officer and he can be contacted on 011 405 1500.

“We would also like to sensitise the community not to confront the suspects as they are armed and dangerous. All they need to do is to contact the nearest police station or 0800 10111 or SAPS Moffat View 011 405 1500, (this can also be reported under unanimity),” said Moffat View SAPS station commander Colonel Lesley Lloyd.
