UPDATE: Mulbarton substation power outage

Due to a technical fault that occurred at Prospect substation this morning, August 28, Mulbarton substation is experiencing a power interruption which resulted in loss of power in the following areas in the south of Johannesburg:

• Bassonia Ext 1
• Glenvista Ext 5 and 6
• Glenvista
• Glenvita Ext 3
• Mulbarton Ext 2, 3, 4
• Liefde and Vrede
• Liefde and Vrede East

City Power technicians are on site conducting investigations into the cause of power outage at Prospect substation.

City Power will keep affected customers updated as and when new information becomes available.
