Kenilworth excels once more

Kenilworth Secondary School achieved a 100 per cent pass rate.

KENILWORTH Secondary School achieved the position of top performing public school in the district for the third time in a row.

With another 100 per cent matric pass rate, comprising 78 per cent bachelors, 20 per cent diploma and two per cent certificate passes, it’s no wonder this school, under the leadership of Principal Morgan Radebe and his dedicated team of educators, is the golden jewel of the south.

A word of appreciation and thanks also goes out to all the learners and parents who worked towards this achievement.

The school’s top performer, Dany Kukusama, plans to study engineering after walking away with five distinctions, followed by Zinhle Magubane and Michael Mncube with three distinctions each.

The principal of the school was awarded a certificate of excellence by Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi for his school’s achievement. Echoing the praise from the MEC were Kim Holmes from Standard Bank, Anita J Moerman van Blankenburg from Partners for Possibility, Kamy Dhanpat from the education district, PR (proportional representation) Clr Tyrell Meyers and Ward 57 Clr Faeeza Chame.

The school also extended a word of thanks to the school governing body’s chairperson, Charlene Dearling, and finance member Lucille Petrus.

Kenilworth Secondary is determined to maintain its top position, and will continue to work hard to assist the learners that will be our future engineers, doctors and the skilled people South Africa needs.
