The truth shall set you free

The secret to your success is found in your daily routine, which is the acting out of how you see yourself in your mind.

“You will act like the sort of person you conceive yourself to be.” – Dr Maxwell Maltz

The self-image is the key to human personality and human behaviour. Change the self-image and you change the personality and the behaviour. This shows that self-image is not what you see in the mirror – what you see in the mirror is your physical representation.

Your self-image, however, is what you see yourself as in your mind. You can wear the most expensive clothing, have an expensive car and own a beautiful house, but if you see yourself as weak and a loser in your mind, those material things won’t help you to be confident in yourself. They just create a façade or a false cover. It’s like having a bitter sweet beautifully wrapped. The wrapping doesn’t make the sweet taste better.

Realise that your feelings, actions and behaviour are the result of your own mental images of yourself and how you see the world. The sooner we see this as the truth, the sooner we begin to express our gifts and talents. If you know exactly where you are going, no one can convince you to think differently.

The reason most people are sidetracked and talked out of what they are supposed to be is simply because they don’t have a clear mental image of what they are supposed to be.

The first thing in claiming your greatness is to clearly develop a mental picture of what you want to be and embrace it fully by playing it over and over again in your mind, this is called visualisation.

The truth is that you will never change your life until you change something you do daily. The secret to your success is found in your daily routine, which is the acting out of how you see yourself in your mind.
