To put a cherry on top, each learner received a R400 Pick n Pay voucher.

GREAT work was done by the Rosettenville Central Primary School Grade Six and Seven learners who participated in the Battle of the Books Competition recently.

This is an annual quiz for primary school learners in these grades whereby a team of six learners go up against other teams from other school within the City of Johannesburg.

Learners have to read 15 different prescribed books on which the quiz is based. The competition consists of four rounds: library, zonal, regional (semi-finals) and metropolitan (finals). Some 248 schools entered and Rosettenville Central Primary School came first, winning all four rounds of the competition.

The school won the Battle of the Books Competition 2017 and the floating trophy. To put a cherry on top, each learner received a R400 Pick n Pay voucher.
