Drugs and money confiscated in Turffontein

A male was found with a large amount of drugs and cash.

A SUSPECT in Turffontein was placed under arrest for dealing in drugs and taken to Booysens SAPS on October 1.

Booysens Police Sgt Nonhlanhla Shabalala and Sgt Magatlo Mashilo were patrolling with two community patrollers in the area when they saw a white Toyota Corolla parked on the street with one occupant at about 10.50am.

As soon as the members got closer, Sgt Mashilo spotted one female carrying a plastic bag out of a yard. She was heading towards the car. The female was about to cross the street when she looked towards the car the members were in and changed direction. She started to walk back towards the gate.

The Toyota Corolla then speed off. The members then went into the house and searched the premises where they found a male in one of the rooms with a large amount of drugs and cash. He was arrested.
