Success lies in your ability to solve problems

Remember that success is not what people define for you but what you define for yourself.

“If you can’t find a good role model, be one.” – Gale Anne Hurd

The truth is, all that stands between you and your goals is problems, difficulties, obstacles, challenges, the market, the competition and the people. Your abilities to solve problems determine your success and failure in life. So, leadership is the ability to solve problems. Success is therefore the ability to solve problems. With bigger problems come greater responsibilities, greater income, greater influence and greater authority. How do you become a greater problem solver? By thinking about the solution. By focusing on the solutions. When there’s a problem, most people immediately say who did it? Who’s to blame? Why did this happen? Then they become angry and depressed. But leaders don’t focus on this – they focus on the solution.

The more you think about the solutions the more creative you become. The more you think about what can we do now? What actions can we take now? Yes, this happened and it’s okay to have some background about it but you can’t change it. You can only change the present and influence the future – so, focus on the solution. Within every problem lies a solution to something even bigger. To every problem you have there is a lesson to learn if you open your mind. That can really help you in future. Average people focus on what happened and who’s to blame and lose sight of the solution.

Remember that success is not what people define for you but what you define for yourself. Successful people are people who live life on their own terms. This means they define what success means to them and go fully at it as it makes sense to them. You have abilities and the potential to achieve your desires.
