JKA South members off to world champs

SUB-Instructor Brittany Shepstone (2nd Dan) and Senior Instructor Karyn Smith (5th Dan) have been selected to represent South Africa JKA at the JKA Shotocup World Championship in Ireland.

Shepstone will be competing in both Kata and Kumite and Smith, a former three-time national team member, will now be officiating as a referee.

Both of the women instruct at JKA South Bassonia karate club. Classes are held from Monday to Thursday from 17.30pm to 19.30pm.
