Medals galore for Elite Rhythmic gymnasts

Twenty-seven of the juniors on levels one, two and three entered and did extremely well.

ELITE Rhythmic Gymnastics Club has once again excelled at the Zone Festival, which was held on June 23 and 24 at Klipriviersberg Recreation Centre.

Twenty-seven of the juniors on levels one, two and three entered and did extremely well. The girls competed in two routines each and received outstanding results. They will also be receiving their half colours for Central Gauteng.

The level ones received six golds, six silvers and two bronze medals. The level two’s received ten golds and the level three’s received three golds. Alyssa Rugg came first and received the highest score in her u-7 age group for level two. Tiarah Thompson also came first in her u-11 age group and received the highest score for level two.

Girls from the age of five and up who are interested are welcome to join. The club meets at Klipriviersberg Recreation Centre, Kibler Park on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3pm to 5pm. For more information contact Denise Marreiros on 076 723 7373.
