Three random shootings in Elandspark

Two other people were shot in the second house as robbers terrorised Elandspark.

THREE trigger happy suspects terrorised Elandspark residents when they shot a 63-year-old man at his home and proceeded to another house where they shot a woman and her son.

Moffatview SAPS reported that the shooting took place on Wednesday, February 22, at around 01:30 when the three suspects fired shots at the elderly man’s bedroom window and then entered the home, shot the man and ransacked the house.

They then moved on to another home in the same street, where they shot a woman and her son.

SAPS spokesperson Const Rebecca Bila reported that the complainant from the second house was asleep when his brother heard a gunshot and his mother scream. The complainant then heard men’s voices in the house and realised his mother and brother had been shot.

The suspects are wanted on charges of house robbery and attempted murder.
