BREAKING NEWS: Two houses burnt and four allegedly shot as protests continue in Rosettenville

Police are trying to contain an angry crowd in Rosettenville as they continue to burn down more houses alleged to belong to drug dealers and prostitutes.

Angry residents have once more  gathered in Rosettenville where they were swiftly dispersed by the police using teargas and rubber bullets.

WATCH:

Residents allegedly threw a brick at a house that is occupied by foreign nationals and prostitutes,  hence the police started shooting.

Residents continued to regroup as police vans rode to different sections. Residents claim the police used unnecessary force.

The first house was saved by firefighters and not severely damaged.

It has been reported that a woman and another young man are in South Rand Hospital.

Another house set alight from the back just a few houses away while firefighters focus on the other house.

The sleeping owner came out running out of the burning house after an officer jumped to wake him up with the crowd screaming that the house must burn.
