BREAKING NEWS: Rosettenville residents block road with burning tyres

The family of six was left on the streets after an alleged illegal eviction by Nigerian men.

Rosettenville residents are up in arms after a family of six was allegedly illegally evicted by Nigerian men who did not have legitimate proof of ownership.

The grandmother, two of her daughters and three grandchildren slept outside in High Street, Rosettenville, after they were evicted by Nigerians nationals. It is suspected that they are posing as the new owners.

“The house used to belong to my employer many years ago and he left it with me after I paid a R50 000 deposit to purchase the house and continued to pay R3 400 to the cousin of the owner as agreed,” said the grandmother.
