Southern Suburbs swimming pool opened
This is a timely boost for the surrounding communities
THE public swimming pool at the Southern Suburbs Recreation Centre in Rosettenville extension, was reopened on Thursday, December 8, 2016, after it had been closed for the past two years.
This was a timely boost for the surrounding communities, as the children who were on school holidays had a place to go to and enjoy themselves in the December sunshine.
Ward 56 Councillor Michael Crichton thanked MMC Nonhlanhla Sifumba and her department, for their assistance in getting this pool reopened. “I realised that this job required much work in order for the pool to be opened, but they made it happen,” said Crichton, who further added that this is a flagship pool that he hopes the youth enjoy.
The entrance to the swimming pool is in Short Street, Rosettenville.
