BREAKING NEWS: 20 local school children rushed to hospital after suspected poisoning
ER24 paramedics urge all parents to teach their children not to accept sweets or gifts from strangers.
SCHOOL teacher reported that 20 children needed urgent medical attention this morning at a primary school in South Hills before being rushed to hospital.
Numerous ER24 paramedics were dispatched to the scene to find the 20 children suffering unbearable abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting.

“They were immediately treated and thereafter transported to the South Rand and Baragwanath Hospitals for urgent care. The children later told paramedics that they had apparently been given sweets by an unknown man the previous day,” said Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson.
ER24 paramedics urge all parents to teach their children not to accept sweets or gifts from strangers.
The COURIER will reveal the name of the school once a statement from the school is received.
