THE principal and staff of Laerskool Dalmondeor are calling on all former learners of the school to make contact with the school.
The school recently began tiling an outside wall with tiles that have been painted by pupils, and is now calling on ex-learners to buy a tile, at a cost of just R100. They will then be required to go to the school and paint the tile. The school will handle it from there, getting the tile prepared for tiling and finalising the tiling.
Emmarentia Williams, the school’s marketing manager, confirmed that the majority of the tiles that are already on the wall were done by learners currently in the school and they are hoping to have the wall finished by the school’s 50th birthday next year.
“We are calling on all former Dalmondeor learners to contact us and support what we are doing for us to have the wall finished,” said Williams. She added that the idea for tiling the wall so creatively was the idea of the school’s architect.
