South Hills Housing project protest back on

Protesters are not going anywhere and will not allow work to continue until their demands are met.

Last week, ward 57 members who claimed to represent the South African National Civic Organisation (SANCO) shut down the construction of the South Hills Housing project.

The protest is back on and this time the police are present. Protesters are not going anywhere and will not allow work to continue until their demands are met.

Every morning they sit outside the construction site making sure the workers do no enter.

The protesters accused a construction company of failing to keep to their word by not employing locals in the construction processes.

More to follow.
