Youth event at Rotunda Park

“It was a fun-filled day of entertainment and education for the youth of the South,” said Moffatview Police Station Constable Olwethu Nose.

STAKEHOLDERS joined forces on June 18 to celebrate Youth Month, with the aim of standing up against substance abuse which is plaguing the youth in Rotunda Park, Turffontein.

The South African Police Services from Booysens, Mondeor, Moffatview, Sophiatown and Johannesburg’s Correctional Services, in conjunction with several stakeholders, combined their efforts for the Youth Day extravaganza.

Also present were Environmental Health Department, Johannesburg Metro Police Department, Emergency Management Services, Social Services, ward councillors as well as NGOs such as Alcohol and Drug Concerns, Glenvista and New South Residents Association, Local Action Drug Committee, Believers Care Society, Community Policing Forums and youth desks from represented police stations.

“It was a fun-filled day of entertainment and education for the youth of the South,” said Moffatview Police Station Constable Olwethu Nose.
