SOME motorists have started to feel the pinch of the shut down of businesses as a result of the on-going #FreeJacobZuma protests as there has been a sudden shortage of fuel.

By midday on Monday, a long queue of vehicles could be seen at a Warner Beach Caltex filling station on Kingsway Road. This was the only filling station that was open in the immidiate vicinity. The situation was made worse by those walking in with jerry cans and plastic containers on foot, jumping the queue of cars.

The rest of Warner Beach, Winklespruit and Dooneside resembled a ghost town as all businesses remained closed.
