Support Lions Club jumble sale and put a smile on a child’s face

Covid-19 regulations will apply and only a number of people will be allowed at a time to ensure safe social distancing and everyone is requested to wear a mask and sanitise.

THE Lions Club of Kingsburgh was very fortunate by receiving a whole lot of hand made knitted and soft toys from Musgrave Methodist Church recently.

The church made a Christmas tree consisting of soft toys and decided to donate all the toys to the Lions Club, which it hopes to sell at its next jumble and white elephant sale. The remaining toys that weren’t sold will be donated to local children’s charities.

“We are delighted to be gifted these marvellous toys, the quality of which shows the excellent skills of the people that made them at Musgrave Church and we thank everyone for their kindness,” said Tony Marron, Lion Club’s president.

“Now that lockdown has been reduced to level 1, we are resuming our bi-monthly jumble and white elephant sale and the next one will take place on Saturday, 27 March, at St Mary’s Church, Kingsway, Warner Beach car park starting at 7am,” he added.

Anyone wanting to make a donation can contact Tony on 064-994-3275 or Sonian Jarrett on 072-761-1610.

Covid-19 regulations will apply and only a number of people will be allowed at a time to ensure safe social distancing and everyone is requested to wear a mask and sanitise.
