“I will be competing and performing in various acting and modelling categories for industry professionals as well as managers and casting directors. I will also be attending workshops held by industry professionals. I am so excited about this journey and I am ready to follow the path that God has set before me.”

She also hosts a YouTube channel, Life According to Ruth, where she posts short films that she has written, directed, shot, edited and acted in.

“Through my story, I would like to inspire people to pursue their dreams because they are possible and it is important to do so. For me being an actress and a plus-sized female model of colour is not only important to me because I love it, but also because I wish to be a representation for others like me who do not usually see themselves in media. The youth should relentlessly pursue their dreams and try to do everything possible to succeed. The most important thing is to believe in yourself and trust the process,” she added.
