Amanzimtoti High School invites the Toti public to enjoy ‘A Night at the Oscars’, its musical for this year. Drama teacher, Michaela Wilson has once again assembled a fantastic programme that showcases songs that have won an Oscar in the Best Original Song category, going back as far as 1935, and including favourites such as When you wish upon a star, Lullaby of Broadway, Fame and Jai Ho.

There are two morning shows on Monday and Tuesday 29 and 30 July at 9am for primary schools and pensioners; three evening shows on 31 July and 1 August, and a gala evening on 2 August.

Doors open at 6.30pm and the show starts at 7pm. The format is a supper theatre and the audience can bring their own picnic baskets. Tickets cost R50 for Wednesday and Thursday, and R80 for the gala evening and are on sale at the school’s finance office. “Our musicals have always been well received and we encourage people to buy a ticket as they will not be disappointed,” promised Michaela.
