FRIDAY, 22 FEBRUARY: Breakfast Club to meet at the Toti Bowling Club at 9.30am for 10am as the activities hall at the library is closed indefinitely. Bring along R5 for a cup of tea. For more information call Gill on 082-615-7708.

 

SATURDAY, 23 FEBRUARY: The first ever Umkomaas Valley Birding Bash takes place from 5.30am to noon. Meet at the Shell Ultra City South Coast (South Bound) to make the most of the early morning birding. The valley is drivable in most 2×4 vehicles with a decent clearance. Limited spaces available in some 4×4 vehicles with people going along. The outing is free however if you are going with one of the 4×4 vehicles we ask that you contribute to their petrol costs. SUNDAY, 24 FEBRUARY: Same Love Toti offers private counselling for transgender and gender diverse persons of all ages at the TrainYouCan training venue, 277 Avondale Road, Morningside from 10am to 3pm. SUNDAY, 24 FEBRUARY: DSY Fitness Studio hosts free yoga on Isipingo Beach on the last Sunday of the month from 7am to 8am.

 

SUNDAY, 24 FEBRUARY: Amanzimtoti’s partially sighted and blind bowlers are urged to attend the Visually Impaired Bowlers Association’s weekly bowling afternoon at Berea Bowling Club in Durban every Sunday from 1pm to 4pm. Blind and partially sighted people who are prepared to join this association can look forward to an afternoon of fun and fellowship playing bowls. FRIDAY, 1 MARCH: Probus members to note that the next meeting will be held at the Amanzimtoti Bowling Club at 9.20am for 10am as the Umbovango nature reserve site is undergoing an upgrade and necessary repairs. SATURDAY, 2 MARCH: Kingsburgh Lions holds its fleamarket at St Mary’s Anglican Church, 157 Kingsway, Warner Beach from 7am to 11am. There are plenty of bargains for everyone and also delicious vetkoek and pancakes on sale. For more information contact Sonia on 072-761-1610.

 

TUESDAY, 5 MARCH: St Winifreds Methodist Church, Morton Road, Warner Beach celebrates Shrove Tuesday by selling pancakes at the church hall between 5pm to 7pm. Enjoy some delicious home-made pancakes.

CHESS players meet on alternate Wednesdays at either Kingsburgh library or Amanzimtoti library.

There is no charge. The time will be decided to suit the players.

All levels of chess players, from beginners to advanced, are welcome.
