Santa Run comes to town

The Santa Run takes place on Sunday, 25 November at the Jonsson Kings Park Stadium in Durban.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and what’s a better way to enjoy it than with family and friends at this year’s Santa Run. KZN’s very own Christmas-themed family run is a fun-filled experience that takes participants in, through, up, down, out and around the Jonsson Kings Park precinct.

The exciting new route is 5km in distance with many exciting experiences along the way. Pass through an easy maze, have a jump on a giant inflatable rocket, give Sharkie a high five, trot along with one of your favourite cartoon characters, take a picture with some of the Sharks team players, experience snow in summer, stop for some refreshments along the way… all the while passing through the historic back avenues and areas of Durban’s world famous stadium.

“It’s not every day you get to glimpse inside the Shark’s changeroom, and then run through the tunnel onto the field like a real super sporting hero,” says Greg Le Roux, Group Executive of Events, as he details a key section of the 2018 Santa Run route. “The Santa Run really is a great opportunity to do something different and fun and it offers something special for everyone. Bring your pram, run a little, walk a lot, whatever you choose, come and enjoy the experience with the whole family.”
