SUNDAY, 19 AUGUST: Amanzimtoti’s partially sighted and blind bowlers are urged to attend the Visually Impaired Bowlers Association’s weekly bowling afternoon at Berea Bowling Club in Durban every Sunday from 1pm to 4pm. Blind and partially sighted people who are prepared to join this association can look forward to an afternoon of fun and fellowship playing bowls. SUNDAY, 26 AUGUST: Become a Warner warrior and be part of an amazing team while learning life-long skills about the ocean at the Warnadoone Lifesaving Club open day from 8.30am at the club, located at 1 Dick King Place, Doonside. Micro nippers six to seven years, nippers eight to 14 years. New members are welcome. Training is on Fridays 5pm to 6pm and Sundays 8.30am to 10.30pm. SATURDAY, 1 SEPTEMBER: Amanzimtoti SPCA hosts a fundraising dinner hosted by Indian Origin in Winklespruit at 5pm for 5.30pm. Cost for adults is R150 and children under 10 years is R50. If you are keen to join, book soon as seating is limited and will be reserved by payment. There is no charge. The time will be decided to suit the players.

All levels of chess players, from beginners to advanced, are welcome.
