Jabulani fundraiser adds potjie compo to attractions

Organisers are excited to announce that a potjie cook-off competition has been added to all the action on offer.

Excitement is mounting as the Amanzimtoti Sports Centre prepares to be transformed this Saturday, 11 August for the highly-anticipated annual Jabulani Senior Citizens Residence fundraiser which takes place from 10am until 2pm.

Organisers are excited to announce that a potjie cook-off competition has been added to all the action on offer. With all the pots and ingredients sponsored by Tastic and the competition run by Chef Wally’s Back 2 Basics Cooking School, the search is on to find who can create the tastiest potjie in town. “There will be tasters on offer, so make sure you get there to try them out,” said Jabulani’s Beth Duncan.

“The tombola prizes which have come pouring in are actually better than some of the raffle prizes. Raffle tickets will still be available to purchase at the fundraiser, at a cost of R5 a ticket.

There will be so much for the children to do and we have a variety of specially selected stalls.”
