Athlone Park neighbourhood watch plans fun day

The event will take place at Athlone Park Primary School from 9am to 4pm.

The Amanzimtoti community is invited to take part in a fundraising fun day on Saturday, 30 June.

“We, as the Athlone Park community, have joined forces and started a neighbourhood watch to promote safety in our area,” said chairman John Jones. “We have formed a fundraising committee and would like to host a fun day for the community with the purpose of raising funds for our neighbourhood patrol teams to buy proper patrol equipment and fix any other aspects in the community as well.

The Toti community’s support will be highly appreciated and contribute towards the safeguarding of our community and help make Athlone Park a crime-free zone.”

The event will take place at Athlone Park Primary School from 9am to 4pm and will feature food stalls, fleamarket stalls, jumping castles for the children and possibly a car display. Volunteers such as magicians, face-painters, clowns, musicians or other entertainers are needed. Contact Karen on 083-7852-703 if you have unwanted items in reasonable condition which can be sold to generate funds.

Stall costs: Food and drinks R250, general R150, corporate R350 and advertisers R100. To book a stall, call Yovenie on 083-715-3715 or Andessa on 073-457-4408.
