SUNDAY, 19 NOVEMBER: The Flame Lily Foundation (incorporating the Rhodesia Association of South Africa) holds its 34th annual Rhodie golf day at Amanzimtoti Country Club, followed by a social braai with music by Graham Boyle. Proceeds from the day go towards supporting Rhodesian pensioners. The braai will start at about 1pm, after the golf. SUNDAY, 26 NOVEMBER: Kingsburgh Child Welfare’s annual beach walk takes place at Winkelspruit Beach (next to the lifesavers club) at 7.30am. Entry R20 per person or a bag of good used clothing to be donated. This walk is in aid of 16 Days on Activism of Violence Against Women and Children. Participants will walk as far as Subway Beach, then back to Winkle Beach. All are welcome and this is a family affair to enjoy the beautiful South Coast. Every second Saturday of the month, between 10am and noon, Kingsburgh Lions host free blood pressure and diabetes testing at Pick and Pay Arbour Crossing.
