SUNDAY, 5 NOVEMBER: Toti Ramblers will walk through Krantzkloof Nature Reserve on the Nkutu trail. Hikers should meet at Lords and Legends’ parking area at 7am for a 7.15am departure.

 

SUNDAY, 5 NOVEMBER to SUNDAY, 12 NOVEMBER: Toti artists will be among those showcasing their work at the Trailing the Trappists art exhibition in St Anne’s hall at Mariannhill Monastery. The exhibition is open from noon to 3pm on weekdays and 10am to 4pm on weekends. The paintings on display can be viewed on the Facebook page ‘Trailing the Trappists’. WEDNESDAY, 8 NOVEMBER: Upper South Coast Garden Club’s Christmas lunch will be held at the Weaver Conference Centre in Southgate Industrial Park from noon. SUNDAY, 26 NOVEMBER: Kingsburgh Child Welfare’s annual beach walk takes place at Winkelspruit Beach (next to the lifesavers club) at 7.30am. Entry R20 per person. More details to follow soon. FRIDAY, 1 DECEMBER: Probus Amanzimtoti Christmas lunch and party take place at Amanzimtoti Golf Club in Athlone Park from 11.30am to 3pm.

Members are reminded that the final date on which payments will be accepted for the Christmas lunch is at the next meeting on Friday, 10 November.

 

FRIDAY, 7 DECEMBER: Probus Amanzimtoti Social Club’s Spring meeting takes place on at 9.30am for 10am in the tranquil surroundings of the Umbogavango Nature Reserve in Umbogintwini. An interesting speaker will be provided. For the bring-and-braai afterwards, take your own cups, meat, salads and refreshments. Interested visitors are asked to call Sharon-Ann Theron during working hours on 083-312-5360. New members and visitors should check their names on the gate security list to ensure access to the reserve.

SUNDAY, 10 DECEMBER: Illovo Helping Hands Society holds its 37th annual day for senior citizens including those suffering with cardio, renal and cancer-related health problems, starting at 9.30am at the Lower Illovo grounds. SATURDAY, 16 DECEMBER: St Mary’s Church hosts a fundraising Christmas fair at 157 Kingsway, Warner Beach. The cost is R100 to book a table to sell your wares and R200 if you want to use a gazebo, provide your own. Businesses can advertise at a cost of R100 per banner. There will be lots to entertain the children and community-based NPOs are invited to raise awareness of their cause at no cost. Lions host health checks

Every second Saturday of the month, between 10am and noon, Kingsburgh Lions hosts free blood pressure and diabetes testing at Pick and Pay Arbour Crossing. The next testing will be on Saturday, 11 November.

SAARP seniors lunch
