MONDAY, 14 AUGUST: South African Association of Retired Persons (SAARP) meets socially in the activities room at Toti library from 9.30am to 11.30am. Andrew Manning will chat to members. TUESDAY, 15 AUGUST: Join the Israel study group to learn and discover more about Israel’s history, biblical truths relevant to today and Hebrew words and names. WEDNESDAY, 19 AUGUST: Upper South Coast Garden Club gets together at Baggies Beach from 9.30am. Take money for tea from kiosk or your own picnic after the walk. Wear a hat and sunscreen. Call Lydia on 083-642-2990 or on 031-903-4212 for more information.

 

WEDNESDAY, 23 AUGUST: 21 Club’s women’s month luncheon will be held at Lords and Legends conference room at noon for 12.30pm. The club looks forward to hosting guest speaker, Lyn Schroder. It’s women’s month so the dress code is anything goes -wear what makes you feel good. Reply by Friday, 18 August to the relevant committee member. Guests invited by a member will be accommodated if there is room.

 

SATURDAY, 26 AUGUST: A women’s function will host the Jes Foord Foundation in a talk entitled ‘Restoring life after rape’ at 10am at the Tabor Hall in Middleton Road, Winklespruit. Contact Renè on 072-494-0795. Cost is R100 per person and funds go to the Reformed Church.
